Noah's Beach Birthday pics...

Thanks to some Tropical activity in the Atlantic, we had some nice waves for our beach day, which the boys thoroughly enjoyed...
Isaac eventually let go of my hand and was a wild man in the ocean, jumping in and out of the waves...
Noah did some body surfing. Next time, I think we'll try to introduce a boogie board...
Look at that face...

Gotta love a bargain...

So the retail on all of this (including tax) would have been $33.29.
After coupons and rebates, I paid $3.30 (including tax).
Woo.hoo.

Kansas City Trip Pics...family shots...

On Wednesday night, we had a get-together at Dorthy's house (Doug's Mom). Doug's Dad and Stepmom Jeannie came, along with his brother Rick & wife Sherry...his nephew Ryan and daughter Sophia...sister Babs & hubby Brian...nephew Louie and his girlfriend Katie. I wish that I'd taken more family pics, but the boys were so excited to be playing in the front yard with Louie and Katie, I had a hard enough time getting them to stand still for the ones we did manage to have snapped. A bit fuzzy, but there ya go.

Kansas City pics...Union Station...

The highlight of Union Station...the Freight House Bridge...a pedestrian bridge right over the railroad tracks.
Noah patiently tolerated his brother's train obsession. Those whistles were L-O-U-D. I remember a day when we could have NEVER spent any time in a spot that loud...Noah would have freaked. Now, he just covered his ears and went with it.

Shots from inside the station. Originally built in 1914, the station was closed in 1983 and fell into decay. The city mounted a huge restoration campaign, and reopened the station in 1999. I love stuff like this...

There was a model train display in the lobby...
It don't get any better than this for a little rail fan...
